Good Homes India Shoot: Paint it Pretty

We have a special treat for you today: a shoot featured in Good Homes, India all about our paint and how you can use it to make even the most challenging space shine.

Good Homes is a wonderful magazine out of India!  We worked with them to create a few spaces featuring our paint in transformational ways...

Like this attic.  The angled walls of this guest room made it impossible to use traditional headboards.  Instead, we used paint to create bold blue versions which follow the angle of the ceiling line and really spruce up the room.

Here is a before/after shot:

Those painted headboards make a big difference against a fresh coat of Whisper.  The blue is our color Ballgown (AND we used chalkboard paint!).  That lamp is also a Quiet Home Paints color: Pool.

I just love this room now.

Good Homes also published this "window treatment" we did to show that there are no limits to what you can achieve with a simple coat of paint:

Here our color Pond was used to create this unique window.  It couldn't have been easier...

What do you think?  Something you would consider in place of the traditional?

And finally: a geometric, city-inspired wall:

Here we used our color Torn Skirt on top of Truss to create the city-scape.

It's as simple as taping out the design (a series of vertical and horizontal lines) and then filling in with paint.

What you do think?  I encourage you to check out the whole article (here's a link to the PDF)...  and the rest of the magazine for that matter.  We may be biased, but we think they feature some really spectacular stuff!  Special thanks to Good Homes for doing such a beautiful job featuring our paints!

online catalog

Recently we worked on putting together a catalog of sorts.  We had it printed and we loved it so much we wanted everyone to be able to see it...  what do you think?  It will live on our website somewhere (I'm just not quite sure where yet), and we will have new issues from time to time.  Enjoy!

drool.

Hi all!  We didn't get to all the posts that we wanted this week, but I promise they are coming.  We have a great video tutorial on painted rugs.  I just haven't finished editing it yet (sorry!) so we will be sure to share it next week.  Today we wanted to share some news with you about an upcoming event.

We are also thrilled to be manning a booth at the upcoming Drool Baby Expo:

This event is not to miss if you are expecting or have a few little ones already.  The products being featured are seriously drool worthy (pun intended) and we are excited to be among them.  And the location? It doesn't get much cooler (or more convenient) than The Cyclorama.  Be sure to get your tickets to attend.  We can't wait to meet the rest of the amazing exhibitors and, of course, mingle with all the expecting and current parents that attend.   We will be showcasing our new painted chairs at the event, along with some other painted pieces we are adding to our line.  And of course we will have fan decks, samples, and plenty of pots of paint, not to mention stock of our nursery colors so you can pick a color and take it home with you that night!  No need to wait for shipping. Can't wait to see you there!

Questions? Comments?  Something you'd like to share with us?  Shoot us an email, facebook us, or tweet us!

Happy Shopping!

So today, it's all about being bold with color, and where better to do so than in the nursery?

We love this black, yellow and white nursery from mamamekko.  It's full of fun and is sure to inspire the creativity in your little one.

try our bright white (whisper) with buzz and vintage tux

The boldness of this nursery comes from the graphic pattern painted on the wall. From The Real Housewives of Bucks County

Try bolt, perch and pout

Ah, turquoise.  This room is fresh and bright with its colorful walls and navy accents.

Try splash and bolt

Love the drama of the black, flat wall. (from spearmint baby)  The shadow word art is wonderful!

Try:

Vintage Tux with some jump for accents.

And finally, a deep blue perfect for little one (from project nursery).  Love the brightness of the orange and green with this deep color.

Try painting your walls with our deep blue: bolt.  Then paint some furniture or accent pieces with peep and jump

Enjoy!

Ps.  As you know we are firm believers in only bringing the best quality products into our home.  This means products that are gentle on the earth, healthy for you and your family, mindful of packaging... the list goes on.  We are thrilled to be sharing the Kids Shop on Fab.com with some companies who share these same ideals.

Check out The Little Seed, Barley and Birch, and Green Buds (just to name a few!)

Monday updates and inspiration...

Happy Monday...   we hope you had a lovely weekend. It's a busy day in the studio today and we have a lot to share with you!

First and foremost, it's here!  The premiere issue of a new magazine, Bump to Baby, has arrived on newsstands and we are so excited to be featured in the issue.

Look for it this week on newsstands across New Hampshire and Maine.  The magazine a great resource for expecting and new parents with great articles, resources and products (if we do say so ourselves)!

Also, we wanted to share with you some other big projects we are working on:

  • Our website: We are working with some awesome designers who are completely redoing our site.  Expect the new look in the New Year!
  • Photo Projects:  We are also in the process of doing some more staged nurseries and corresponding photoshoots to beef up our portfolio and create more packages for customers.  And we are are always looking for new spaces to paint.  Do you have a nursery in need of color or know someone who does??  Let us know!   Also, if you have used Quiet Nursery paints in your room, please submit us your photos...  we'd love to see the results and potentially share them on the blog or website.  We will be announcing a little photo contest as well next month, so start painting!
  • Demo walls:  We are working with various baby boutiques in the area to paint beautiful demo walls in their space and stock our paint.  How great for our customers to be able to walk away with paint the same day!  A full list of boutiques will be published on the site.  If you have a boutique or know of one who might be interested, let us know!
  • Quiet Home:  Lisa is busy creating custom colors to add to the Quiet Home Collection and it's really taking shape.  We plan to launch the line in conjunction with the new website in the new year.  So stay tuned and keep us in mind if you New Year's resolutions will include any painting!

And finally...

It speaks for itself, no?

Happy Monday!
