to all those awesome moms.

Friday, Friday...  I actually sang that out loud.  Not only is it Friday, but it's Sunny, Sunny outside. The weekend is upon us and I hope you have a lovely one planned. To all the moms out there, I wish you a very happy mother's day filled with meals you did not cook, clean laundry, made beds and above all lots of love and snuggles from your little ones.

And to the mothers near and dear to me:

To my new, hot mama girlfriends (you know who you are):  I can't say I am surprised that you two were the first to embark on this adventure.  You always were the best of caregivers. Watching you become moms has been so touching.  I love you both and wish you the happiest of days this weekend... and a lifetime of wonderful mommy moments.

To my amazing, hopefully someday sister in law:  I can't even tell you how happy I am for you.  Motherhood looks so good on you and you've been such a rock star new mom.  I've loved every minute of watching both you and your little girl grow.  You are creating such a wonderful life for her.

To my grandma:  Thank you for so many wonderful moments.  For working hard to keep traditions alive and passing them on.  Thank you for your part in making my own mother who she is today and for being the most wonderful grandma a girl could ask for. I love you!

To my step-mom:  Thank you for being such a wonderful caregiver to my two adorable, little siblings.  For advocating for them, supporting them, and helping them become such wonderful little people. And, of course, thank you for all the support you've provided me throughout the years.  The effort you put into to making my childhood a happy one did not go unnoticed and I am so grateful.

To my sister, on her first mothers day:  As with most things you undertake, you began motherhood with such ease and grace. You are a natural in the way you protect and shelter while also, however difficult, promoting independence.  I am so proud of you and so happy for you.  I love you and can't wait to see your beautiful little girl grow up.  She is so lucky to have you as a mom...

And to my own beautiful mother:  You've always been there and you will always feel like home to me.  Thank you for working so hard to create such a beautiful life for us.  You were always able to strike the perfect balance between parent and friend. I can't tell you how much it means to me to have grown up with a mother who I felt comfortable sharing everything with, who supported me in hard times, encouraged me in moments of doubt, and provided clarity without judgement in times I needed it most.  Thank you.  I love you.  Happy Mother's Day!
