Morning all! We hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend and are ready to get back into the swing of the work week. Jamie's first post is up today. Give her some love.
Yesterday when I was introduced to y’all, I divulged my not-so-secret obsession with “reality” television. Bravo hosts several of my favorite series, one of which has a new season premiering tonight! Flipping Out gives its audience front row access to demanding designer Jeff Lewis and his entertaining colleagues and clients as he designs, styles, and renovates homes and businesses in southern California.
I started watching this show with my mom right around the time my daughter was born 2 years ago. Little did I know, watching one episode would have me hooked. I have been waiting for what seems like forever for this new season, and here we are: it premieres tonight on Bravo.
What are some things that make you “flip out” on a daily basis? Here is one of mine: repeating myself. I’m a very loud talker, so I know the issue isn’t mine. Pay attention, or look into getting your ears candled.
In honor of the sixth season of Flipping Out, I chose to feature some of my favorite spaces by Jeff Lewis Design:
I chose this room because I could absolutely picture myself curling up on that couch with one of those cozy throws and watching TV, especially on a rainy day.
If you like the look try one of Quiet Home Paints warm neutrals like:
I’m obsessed with painting doors blue. The blue just adds an extra dimension to this patio and really makes me smile. I would love to do ours, but I don’t think it would match the brick we have. Our next house will be chosen by whether or not I can paint the front door blue.
If you like this blue, try QHP's color:
Last, but most certainly not least, is this eye-catching room living room. I love the patterns he chose; they really bring the room to life.
If you like this moody, deep blue try our color:
We’re hosting friends for dinner this evening, but you better believe my DVR is set. I hope you’ll watch along with me Tuesdays on Bravo at 9/8c and let me know what you think!
