where we've been.
Hello my old friends... It's been a while since I've posted here and for that I am sorry. There has been a lot going on - all good things - but things that kept me away from my computer and with a paint brush in hand. But today, I return to my desk and to you - and it feels good! We have a lot of updates for you - new colors, new spaces, DIY ideas and more - so many in fact that I'm not quite sure where to start. So today, I guess I will start with where we've been and what we have been up to for the past few days.
Lisa and I have been busy getting a house ready for an upcoming photoshoot. We are showcasing colors from our home collection:
and that is Emma peaking through the door...
There she is again... you will notice many a coffee cup in these photos (these were very long days).
We also used husk and foxtail, porch, nest...
And we found a small space to feature our newest color:
Full post on this deep, rich gray coming soon - but in the meantime, can you guess the name??
Lisa would like you to know that of course, all of these spaces and rooms still need furniture, art and life... but that is happening later in the week. We will be sure to share more behind the scenes photos of the shoot next week!
Other things you can expect in the next few days?
An intro to our newest color (seen above).
The first of many Painting 101 posts.
My new living room.
A DIY extravaganza.
And I'll leave you with this...
Last night, after a long day of painting with Lisa, I came home to this scene...
A fire in the fireplace, a glass of red, and that coffee table. The boy built me that coffee table for my birthday while I was away painting. Isn't it beautiful? Knowing my connection to my hometown and family, he used old boards from the barn at my dad's house. I love it. The legs are made of plumbing pipes. I am one lucky lady. It's the perfect piece for our new living room which you can just see a peek of in this shot. You like the new colors?
